Dr. Holtkamp is an orthopaedic surgeon with a sub-specialty in upper extremity and hand surgery. She is board certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Surgery. Dr. Holtkamp concentrates her practice on disorders and injuries of the hand, wrist, and elbow. She also practices general orthopaedics.

Dr. Holtkamp is a native of Crystal Lake, graduating from Crystal Lake South High School. She attended Northern Illinois University, where she completed her degree in Physical Therapy with honors, including, Dean’s List and Golden Key National Honor Society. While practicing as a physical therapist, she worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons, who encouraged her to become a surgeon. She completed pre-medical requirements at University of Chicago while working full-time as a physical therapist. Her physical therapy background enhances her ability to guide patients through the healing process to reach their goal of complete recovery.

She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. During medical school, she was awarded a research grant by the Medical Student Research Program. She then completed a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Northwestern University Medical School. While in residency, she participated in care of athletes from the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Northwestern University and the Joffrey Ballet.

In addition, her training includes a Hand Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic where she trained with world-renowned hand and elbow surgeons with decades of experience. During her fellowship, she completed coursework at the Mayo Microvascular Training Center.

Dr. Holtkamp resides in Crystal Lake with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and exercising.
